CASE STUDIES
The combined experience of the members of our procurement team is in excess of 70 years and as a result the number of case studies they can refer to is extensive. A few examples are as follows:
Global Media Company wanted to reduce its indirect costs
We visited the client and analysed their procurement expenditure, then worked with them to establish a series of category target areas and teams to deliver the savings. Over a period of six months we reduced the number of suppliers by 80% and saved 35% on an annual spend of over £250m – a saving of £87.5m
German Investment Bank wanted to reduce its global professional services costs
The Bank’s Legal, Consultancy, HR, Tax and Audit services amounted to over $800m. By working across the US and UK and forming joint teams, we gained stakeholder buy-in and delivered 20% savings in one year and paid back investment costs in 3 months, by a ratio of 28-1 – an overall saving of $160m.
Global Insurer wanted to reduce its General Insurance Claims Costs
One of the world’s largest Insurance companies engaged us to review its General Insurance claims costs particularly Motor, Buildings, Legal Costa and Loss Adjusters. The spend each year was over 4 billion Euros across Europe with different systems, processes, cultures and working practices. Using the UK as a best practice ‘footprint’ and gaining Europe-wide buy-in, we negotiated new terms and service agreements in all areas of spend, reducing annual costs by almost 1 billion Euros.
